Reggie Workman's African American Legacy project (AALP) is a glorious 20-piece and 18-piece chrous co-created by the legendary
bassist Reggie Workman and trumpet titan/bandleader Charles Tolliver to celebrate the legact and future of African-American
music, and this great music we call "Jazz." The AALP has been mounted at such noted venues as Lincoln Center's
Damrosch Bandshell, Philadelphia's Clef Club, and UMASS @ Amherst. Witness history in the making as jazz stalwarts
(Billy Harper), emerging artists offspring (Matthew Garrison) and proteges are joined by talented HSA and community
students "buddying" with these first call musicians - ALL DEDICATED TO CARRYING THE MUSIC FORWARD!
